Eric issued this NWP #14 so I don't know if he or you will handle the modification so I
copied you both.
We need to request an additional 50 feet of impact authorization for a spring location
that we did not expect to impact. The LIDAR data was inaccurate. Once we slope
staked the project, the spring area was within the proposed fill slope. We will need to
install a spring box to head up the water flowing out of the ground and pipe that water
for 50 feet to get the discharge point beyond the toe of our fill. Since this is a stream
origin point, we will not be able to dewater. I have revised the needed mitigation
already. If you have any questions, please let me know.
