This one the USACE is saying non‐notifying NW3 even though there are no impacts, but
for them it is over section 10 waters.

Subject: Brunswick 71 (Holden Beach Bridge) preservation
DOT is in the process of Letting a contract for substantial preservation project. The
project includes the following as shown on the attached plan sheets:
Epoxy overlay on deck
Spall repairs
Expansion joint repairs
Retrofit fender system with plastic and structural composite lumber wales
Please review the attached draft plan sheets and let me know if this work is considered
exempt from permitting from your agencies.
The green sheet will include the following commitments.
Coordination with the USCG is required if work vessels are stationed within the
navigational channel.
Appropriate BMPs will be implemented to contain any contain any debris or
waste that is generated from the repairs of this structure.
