THE PROPOSED WIDENING OF N.C. 150 (MOORESVILLE ROAD)
FROM AIRPORT ROAD TO WEST OF GRANTS CREEK
IN SALISBURY
ROWAN COUNTY
STIP Project No. U-5900
The N.C. Department of Transportation is proposing to widen N.C. 150 (Mooresville Road) from
Airport Road to West of Grants Creek in Salisbury. The proposed alternative includes a four-
lane, median-divided widening along with other improvements to reduce congestion and
improve safety and traffic operations along the corridor. The public meeting will be held at the
Salisbury Civic Center located at 315 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, in Salisbury, on
Tuesday, May 15th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide interested citizens with information on the project
and gather public input on the proposed design.
Interested citizens may attend at any time between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Please note that
there will not be a formal presentation. NCDOT representatives will display maps and be
available to answer questions and receive comments. Comments and information received will
be taken into consideration as work on the project develops. Written comments or questions
can also be submitted at the meeting or later by June 15th, 2018.
