Jon,
That's fine and I have no further comment regarding the proposed riprap berm. Thank you!

Chonticha,
I've added a riprap berm between the inlet and outlet to act as a pretreatment device and increase the hydraulic
retention time in the basin (see attached sheets). Let me know if this satisfies your concern and will finalize these plans
for submittal.
Thanks in advance.

Jon,
I'm aware of that and it's ok (for me) if you want to skip the Supplement form. However, I still think we need some sort
of an O&M agreement since the pond is a part of this project and should be maintained so that it can function the way it
was designed. You can modify the languages on the standard O&M form so that it will fit your need or you can come up
with your own O&M plan/agreement.
Thank you!

Ms. McDaniel,
Before I pull this all together, I want to insure we get you everything you need. The dry pond as designed is proposed as
a means to provide peak flow attenuation to protect downstream infrastructure in Log Cabin Lane and not to meet any
State or local stormwater management requirements as none are required. That being said, is there a need to provide a
Supplement and O&M for the facility? Thanks in advance. Please feel free to give me a call to discuss.
Thanks,

Kelly,
Thank you for the additional information. Please download and fill out the Supplement EZ form and the O&M EZ form
from our website: https://deg.nc.gov/about/divisions/energy-mineral-land-resources/energy-mineral-land-permit-
guidance/stormwater-bmp-manual.
Also, I have one concern regarding the location of the dry pond inlet and outlet. It seems to me that their current
locations may be prone to short circuiting unless baffles will be placed in the pond to lengthen the flow path.

Chonticha-
Please see the sharefile link below for the additional stormwater information you requested for the Aberdeen
Transmission Headquarters project. The folder at this link contains a memo from the stormwater engineer addressing
your questions, a stormwater impact analysis which includes the design calcluations, and design drawings for the
proposed stormwater facility.

Kelly,
Here are the information we need that I cannot find in the report:
1) A discussion on how the project will not cause degradation of downstream surface waters when considering the
volume and velocity of the increased flows and the current size/condition of the receiving stream.
2) Calculations to show that flow (cfs) from every discharge point will be non-erosive to both the land surface and
the receiving stream during the peak flow from the 10 -year storm event.
3) Calculations to demonstrate that for any discharge points proposed to increase flow rates and volume, the
structural stability of the receiving stream will not be compromised.
4) Designed drawings (both aerial and profile views showing the actual designed dimensions) and detailed
calculations of any proposed detention system (i.e. level spreaders). Any vegetated conveyances (if provided)
should also be depicted on the drawings.
I hope this help. Let me know if you have more questions. Thank you!

Chad -
Our stormwater folks have prepared the attached Stormwater Impact Analysis for this project. Before I send hardcopies,
can you please tell me whether this SIA has a sufficient level of detail for your needs? If not, could you please let me
know what information is missing and/or provide an example of a stormwater management plan with the appropriate
level of detail?
Thank you.
