Subject: Polaris Point shoreline stabilization
Hello Mr. West,
I am reviewing your application for shoreline stabilization at Polaris Point. I have conferred with staff at the US Army
Corps of Engineers as their permit is the overarching federal permit although you are not required to submit an
application to them. They have indicated to me that the permit you are seeking coverage under can only be used when
there is an existing eroding shoreline. It is unclear from the photos that you submitted that this property has existing
erosion. Would it be possible for you to send me photos of the shoreline that are taken from the water towards the
land? If not then I can schedule a time to come out to the site but unfortunately my schedule is very full and I wouldn't
be able to come out until June.
