Thanks for all of your help, Phillip From: Georgoulias, Bethany [mailto:bethany.georgoulias@ncdenr.gov] Sent: Monday, April 30, 2018 11:31 AM To: Phillip Pressley Subject: RE: [External] SW Outfall Monitoring Question EXTERNAL MAIL Phillip, Unless the second site's pit discharge relocation will change the receiving waters from the original approved application, neither of these sounds like it requires a COC modification. Could you please verify which waterbody each of these outfalls is discharging into? I can make sure they are entered into our database with the correct coordinates. We have COCs for both sites where we are looking to move outfalls. Clarks Quarry (COC No. NCG020171) - Proposed Removal of SDO1 (3509'9.79"N 7708'34.32"W) o The stockpile area is graded such that all stormwater leaves the property at Pit Discharge Outfall 001 (3508'55.76"N 7708'10.87"W). No water is leaving the property at SDOL We would like to remove the outfall to expand the yard. RDU Quarry (COC No. NCG020043) - Proposed combining the pit discharge outfall and SDO1. o Discharge from both outfalls merges prior to leaving the property. We would like to remove SDO1 and relocate the Pit Discharge Outfall to (35053'58.98"N 78045'06.85"W). This would allow us to monitor one outfall instead of 2. If this requires a modification, please let me know. If it does, is there a form or do I just need to submit a formal request with a map describing the change we are requesting? If they already have been issued COCs, but we just need to revise outfall lat/Ion locations from what was submitted originally (no changes that require a modification), you can email the info on the corrected outfall locations (outfall number with lat/Ion coordinates, type of discharge, receiving waterbody and index number for that waterbody.) I need to alter the outfalls originally listed in several of our NPDES NCG020000 NOls. What do I need to do prior to moving or removing an outfall? Thanks, Phillip Phillip N.
