Jason,
The DWQ does not object to discontinuing the hydrologic monitoring at the Third
Street Mitigation Site. However, as stated, the vegetation monitoring should
continue.

Good morning,
During our Division 3 site review last Wednesday we visited the Third Street
mitigation site in Wilmington. Based on discussion during this site visit, NCDOT
would like to request to discontinue all hydrologic monitoring at the Third Street
site. This request is based upon 3 years of successful hydrologic monitoring data
(please see table below) and visual observations made during the site visit. If
this request is acceptable, please respond by email and we'll cease all hydrologic
monitoring. However, vegetation monitoring will continue for the next two years
to complete the required five years of monitoring. Thank you and let me know if
you have any questions.
