Inspection Summary:
The inspection was conducted by Beverly Price and Tim Fox of the Asheville Regional Office. The inspection included a
tour of the facilities and review of the lime stabilization process. Mr. Mike Mehaffey assisted with the inspection.
The solids facility consists of 3 aerobic digesters, a 1-meter belt press, lime silo, covered storage area on concrete pad for
mixing and storing residuals. Any runoff from the storage area would flow back to the head of the WWTP for treatment. All
finished product is stored under roof until distributed.
It is recommended that all temperature checks associated with the pathogen reduction requirements be recorded in the
operations log.
The facility is well maintained.

Describe sampling:
Approximately 10 grab samples are collected from the finished lime stabilized pile. Those grabs are
composited for fecal coliform/ metals/nutrient and TCLP analyses.
Temperatures are collected at random points in the pile to verify Alternative B requirements.
