REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION
Dear Mr. Radman:
On August 31, 2006, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated
August 31, 2006, to impact 0.249 acres of wetland and 369 linear feet of stream (94 linear feet
permanent, perennial stream impact, 232 linear feet permanent, intermittent stream impact, 33
linear feet temporary, perennial stream impact, and 10 linear feet temporary, intermittent stream
impact) to construct the proposed residential subdivision. The DWQ has determined that your
application was incomplete and/or provided inaccurate information as discussed below. The
DWQ will require additional information in order to process your application to impact protected
wetlands and/or streams on the subject property. Therefore, unless we receive five copies of the
additional information requested below, we will have to move toward denial of your application
as required by 15A NCAC 2H .0506 and will place this project on hold as incomplete until we
receive this additional information. Please provide the following information so that we may
continue to review your project.
Additional Information Requested:
1. Please provide documentation indicating how you determined whether onsite streams
were perennial or intermittent. This determination must be made by the DWQ.
2. Impact 3 appears to be at a 60° - 65° angle. Please redesign this crossing so that the
impact angle is between 75° and 105°. Also, this impact leads to "future development".
Does this need to be done right away, or can this impact be done when the "future
development" begins?
3. Project imperviousness area is listed as 23.8%. However, calculations/figures are
confusing. The calculations attached with the PCN use a site area of 948 acres, but in

Section VII of the PCN the site is listed as 314 acres. Please reconcile this discrepancy.
Also, the calculations list 739 lots, but I count 180 lots on the plans. Please reconcile this
discrepancy as well.
Please respond within three weeks of the date of this letter by sending this information to me in
writing and Eric Kulz of the DWQ Raleigh Regional Office. If we do not hear from you within
three weeks, we will assume that you no longer want to pursue this project and we will consider
the project as withdrawn.
This letter only addresses the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands,
waters or protected buffers. Please be aware that any impacts requested within your application
are not authorized (at this time) by the DWQ. Please call Ms. Cyndi Karoly or Mr. Ian
McMillan at 919-733-1786 if you have any questions regarding or would like to set up a meeting
to discuss this matter.
Sincerely,
