Hey Melonie,
As a follow-up to your request to close-out the Adkins Branch site, DWR has the following request:
• DWR (Scott Vinson) inspected the BMPs onsite in October 2017 and met with DMS & City of Kinston. That
inspection was a result of concerns made by myself & others during the 2016 closeout visit with regards to
overgrown vegetation and lack of maintenance on the BMPs. Results from Mr. Vinson's inspection revealed
that for the first time DWR had been to the site, the BMPs appeared to be in good working order and the site
had been adequately mowed and maintained. It was also discussed onsite during that inspection, that the City
of Kinston was aware of its commitment to further provide maintenance of the BMPs in perpetuity. DWR is
requesting that DMS arrange one last site visit for Mr. Vinson to conduct a BMP inspection prior to final
closeout.
Please let me know if you have any further questions. Once I have received feedback from Scott Vinson that the site is
in full compliance, I will issue the closeout letter for the Adkins Branch Site.
