You must have an approved Operation and Monitoring Plan before mine dewatering discharges occur at your facility. Discharging mine dewatering wastewater without Plan approval will be subject to enforcement action. This site will discharge to a receiving stream designated as High Quality Waters (HQW) and a Primary Nursery Area (PNA). As a result, a more stringent TSS limit and a more stringent volume for wastewater discharges applies. Additionally, new coastal stormwater management rules (SESSION LAW 2008-211) were implemented October 1, 2008. Due to these new rules you may be required to apply for an additional Coastal State Stormwater Permit.
