Previously,Aqua had completed the 100,000 EQ basin,blowers, diffusers, etc which was certified on May 12, 2017 by Mike Poulios, PE (see attached certification);however, this mstallation did not include the mechanical screen unit. Subsequently, Aqua has now completed installation of the mechanical screen unit and it is ready for service. PAULS, N.C. 28384 April 13, 2018 Mr. Jeffrey Poupart North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality Division of Water Resources, Water Quality Permitting 1617 Mail Service Center Raleigh,North Carolina 27699-1617 Re: Special Order By Consent EMC SOC S17-007 Quarterly Report Town of St. Pauls Robeson County,North Carolina Dear Mr. Poupart: In accordance with the provisions of the Special Order by Consent (SOC) the Town is providing this quarterly report to notify the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) of activities related to the SOC during the first quarter of 2018. 1. Project 1 is under construction and proceeding per the schedule. The Contractor has installed most of the gravity sewer associated with the project which allowed an existing line exposed in the culvert under NC20 to be abandoned. Pump installations will begin in the next 30-60 days. 2. Engineering Report approval was achieved on February 28, 2018 and a milestone letter was provided to NCDEQ on March 6, 2018 to confirm compliance with the deadline. P.O. BOX 364•ST. The January 2018-March 2018 average daily flow was 0.229 MGD, less than 50% of permitted capacity. The average over the past 6 months has also been 0.229 MGD. 4. There have been no sanitary sewer overflows (SSO) in the first quarter of 2018. 5. The Town is currently working on video inspections of sewer lines for design of the Project 2 Wastewater Collection System Rehabilitation funded by the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.
