Dear NCDWR,
We received notification in a letter dated 2 April 2018 that the processing of the permit
application for the above referenced property has been placed on hold pending submittal of
additional information. The enclosed documents are provided for your use to address the
additional information request.
For Item #1, I have attached a map prepared by the engineer to clearly show the extent of
the wetland impact at the road crossing. There is only one wetland impact proposed in this
subdivision and it is for 0.15 acre of permanent wetland impact. No stream impacts are proposed.
For Item #2, a site meeting was conducted on 20 March 2018 with Mr. James Lastinger,
USACE. Mr. Lastinger concurred with the wetland and stream delineation, and has issued a
Nationwide Permit Verification for the project (attached).
For Item #3, the local community reviewing the stormwater program is the Town of
Varina. It is my understandiniz the stormwater plan has been submitted to the Town.

This verification will remain valid until the expiration date identified below unless the nationwide authorization is modified, suspended
or revoked. If, prior to the expiration date identified below, the nationwide permit authorization. is reissued and/or modified, this
verification will remain valid until the expiration date identified below, provided it complies with all requirements of the modified
nationwide permit. If the nationwide permit authorization expires or is suspended, revoked, or is modified, such that the activity would
no longer comply with the terms and conditions of the nationwide permit, activities which have commenced (i.e'., are under construction)
or are under contract to commence in reliance upon the nationwide permit; will remain authorized provided the activity is completed
within twelve months of the date of the nationwide permit's expiration, modification or revocation, unless discretionary authority has
