In your letter dated August 18, 2004, you stated that all of the stormwater from your site exits as sheet flow and that you have no point -source discharges. In accordance with your request, your Certificate of Coverage (NCG140034) under the NCG140000 permit is rescinded, effective immediately. This rescission is based upon your statement that stormwater from your site exits as sheet flow and confirmation from the Fayetteville Regional Office. A new stormwater permit will be necessary if the nature of your site changes such that stormwater leaves in a discrete discharge. Operating a treatment facility, discharging wastewater or discharging specific types of stormwater to waters of the State without a valid NPDES permit will subject the responsible party to a civil penalty of up to $25,000 per day. If the facility is in the process of being sold, you will be performing a public service if you would inform the new or prospective owners of their potential need for NPDES permit coverage.
