NOTICE REGARDING VALIDITY OF 401 WATER QUALITY CERTIFICATION
Dear Mr. Marchant:
On March 31, 2009,the DWQ issued a 401 Water Quality Certification for the above-referenced project.
On April 16, 2009, DWQ staff met with David Hughes, Chatham County Public Works Director, and
staff with the United States Army Corps of Engineers(USACE)—Raleigh Regulatory Field Office
regarding the Central Carolina Business Campus project, of which your project is a component. The
USACE has determined that the Central Carolina Business Campus is a single and complete project and
as such the entire campus will need to be permitted as one uroiect. Therefore,there will not be a 404
permit issued for the above-referenced project and the 401 Water Quality Certification which has
been issued is not valid without the 404 permit.
