Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities is the applicant for the project. The proposed sewer easement is located adjacent to an NCEEP stream restoration project. Field review of the alignment was conducted with representatives of NC Ecosystem Enhancement Program, Chadotte- Mecklenburg Utilities (applicant), Wetland and Natural Resource Consultants (consultant), Riverworks (stream restoration construction) to determine the most appropriate route to minimize disturbance on the stream restoration project. As a result, impacts are limited to a single stream crossing, and buffers are maximized to the extent practicable. NC EEP has agreed to take the lead on addressing concerns regarding conservation easement language and stream restoration credits. Best regards, Tamp andy 828-302-3437 J APR 6 2009 DENR .
