Our office received another complaint today from Mr. Parker Varin about his concerns with the current logging activity
at the Wylie Branch site off Island Creek Road. He has indicated that they logging trees right up to the branch without
any control measures and he is concerned that if we get a significant rain event, there is nothing to prevent
sedimentation into the streams. To date, our 401 Cert. application is still on -hold. Has the consultant submitted the JD
request for this project?

Thank you for the heads up. Coleman Parks and Tony Sydes are involved in these two developments, as well as a couple
of others that are in the process of coming online. I spoke with Coleman yesterday regarding what I still need from
Haywood Pittman to complete the JD for Wylie Branch. There is another tract that is northwest adjacent to Wylie Branch
for which Coleman has requested a JD. Harrison Cove is another proposed subdivision by these guys that's located east
of Wylie Branch that I've also received an application for, but the JD is not complete. They do not have their isolated
wetland calls on WB or Harrison Cove, so no work in wetlands or waters is approved by the Corps. Once they get the
paperwork to me it will still be a few weeks before they get a determination because of the review procedures.

Our office received a complaint yesterday for logging activity that is currently underway at this location off Island Creek
Road, which is apparently causing turbidity within tributaries to Harrison's Creek. We have spoken to Mr. David Bunn
with Parker and Associates and he indicated that he has contacted Mr. Anthony Sydes, developer for the new
subdivision about this complaint. As you are aware, this in the same developer for The Reserve on Island Creek Sub.,
which is where we met a few times to address sedimentation into streams and wetlands.
Our 401 Certification application is currently on -hold based on the additional information you requested. Have you
received the requested information (SAW -2016-01948) since your 7/17/2017 email to Mr. Jonathan McDaniel with
Parker and Associates?
