Amy, if the slope is to be 2:1 then the bank above full pond would get rip rap 6' x 142'. 1 was not giving the depth of the stone, just the surface of the bank to accept rip rap. Hope this answers your question! 1 Thanks Marshall Sent from my iPad On Mar 6, 2018, at 12:23 PM, Annino, Amy M <amy.annino@ncdenr.gov> wrote: Marshall, To clarify, the measurements I need are for rip rap applied to the shoreline above and below the full pond level (not the thickness of rip rap applied). In your email below, it appears that your intention is to lay 10' rip rap on the bank above the full pond level and 2' of rip rap on the bank below the full pond level? Please let me know if this is what you are proposing. DWR requires that banks sloped must be at least a 2:1 slope. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to Report Spa Amy, to answer your questions below, yes 18" is shown on drawing but I figured the rock would bed itself 6" into the soil below, so it would be 18" X 142' which is 213 sq. ft. So the 1420 was the slope of the bank which was to accept rip rap which the dimensions are 10' x 142' and this is the length of the slope. The 2840 was for the construction access corridor which I figured would be 20' X 142'. 1 was going to try to not remove any trees or vegetation unless needed for machinery. There may be one or two 2 pine trees in the 11 to 12" caliper that have to be removed. Currently the vegetation is pine trees with a few hardwoods and rhododendron. Yes I am planning on slopping the embankment to accept the rip rap, it is currently washed underneath as shown in pictures. Let me know if you have any further questions.
