This area is very shallow and previously disturbed for the construction of the existing boat ramp. The repair work would add minimally to the foot print of the existing boat ramp and floating pier (see attached drawings of proposed repair work). Based the Corps review of the affect from the repair of the boat ramp the direct and indirect effects of the action will not negatively impact the Atlantic Sturgeon species or its associated critical habitat or any other threatened or endangered species. The construction will not occur during the Atlantic Sturgeon fisheries environmental window February 1 - June 15 and the construction timeframe is approximately 8 months. The repair construction will include use of proper sediment and erosion control to prevent excessive turbidity in surrounding waters.
