Joe,
We do not have engineers on staff and since we are tipped in, it goes through the state
review process (Phase II Post Construction Permitting)and it is the state storm water
ordinance. You will submit directly to the state and provide your permit approval to
us. When you turn in the plans, we will confirm with the state that the plans submitted
to our office are the same plans that used for the state review and permitting.
I am not sure where you are looking at on the web site, but here is a link to the map for

When we had our meeting the other day, I thought I heard that the stormwater
submittal was to go to the state for review (regional office of NCDEQ) with a copy to
Cabarrus County. In looking at the stormwater permitting map on the NCDEQ website,
it says that storm water permitting is under local authority. Did I misunderstand what
was said at the meeting? If it's under local authority, is there a special permit
application for the storm water submittal or is that review included in the zoning site
plan review application? Or do you require that we submit the state's storm water
permit application as part of our submittal to Cabarrus County?
I appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks
