East Spencer Water System Improvements Permitting Fee
Dear Ms. Karoly:
On behalf of the Town of East Spencer, this letter is a courtesy notification of a utility
line backfill across unnamed tributaries in Rowan County, NC. In a letter dated January
25, 2007 from Cyndi Karoly to Richard Hunter, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ)
requested a permitting fee for the above referenced project.
The original application was submitted to DWQ as a courtesy copy because written
approval for the 401 Certification is not required. A Nationwide 12 Permit has been
requested from US Army Corps of Engineers and all activities will adhere to GC3374.
Per a conversation with Ian McMillan earlier today, a permitting fee for the project is not
required. Please accept this letter as a courtesy notification for the proposed work.
Again, a written concurrence from DWQ is not requested from the Town of East Spencer.
