Debris are cleaned from secondary containment areas where applicable. Fuel Unloading Skid The fuel unloading skid is equipped with secondary containment. The storm water drains for this structure have been equipped with valves in the drain lines to prevent unauthorized discharges of rainwater. These valves are opened only to drain excess rain water. This containment area is treated as all other containment areas and is inspected before release and is logged as well, including the closure of the valves. Fuel Oil Tank Inventory Fuel tank readings are taken and recorded on a daily basis. These levels are entered into a database for tracking and trending purposes in order to prevent a potential leak from going undetected. Miscellaneous Tanks, Drums, Barrels and Stored Supplies Miscellaneous tank, drums and barrels are stored in containment areas. Supplies are stored near this area and potential areas where leaks might occur and near the point where the catch basins empty into the storm water pond. A vinyl boom is installed across this narrow finger of entrance point. Another boom is stored within two hundred feet of this location for quick deployment if necessary. The boom that is permanently deployed is inspected and cleaned once a year. Log Rounds Operators perform 8log rounds a day inspecting plant equipment and looking for potential problems with equipment, leak detection, and general housekeeping issues.
