Dear Ms. Rock:

Thank you for your letter of January 23, 2018, forwarding copies of the report and site form for the above-
referenced project. During the course of the investigations, the historic component of archaeological site
31CT270 was tested and assessed for potential to be listed in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

According to the report, the historic component of 31CT270 represents a late nineteenth-/early twentieth-
century domestic occupation. Brockington, Inc., has recommended the site be considered not eligible for listing
in the NRHP, as additional investigation will not generate significant and substantial information regarding
historic occupations in the region. We agree with this recommendation, and concur that there are no adverse
effects posed to significant archaeological resources and no further archaeological investigations are warranted
in conjunction with this project as currently planned.

The above comments are made pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the
Advisory Council on Historic Preservation’s Regulations for Compliance with Section 106 codified at 36 CFR
Part 800.
