The Division of Water Resources received the Year 4 Monitoring Report for the above -referenced
site on February 29, 2017 from the Division of Mitigation Services (DMS).
Vegetation success criteria for this site, as specified in the mitigation plan, is an average density of
320 planted native hardwood trees per acre at the end of five years of monitoring. As indicated in
the Year 4 Monitoring Report all vegetation plots are meeting MY4 success criteria. Johnsen grass
was noted as common in Year 3, however the MY4 report indicates that it is becoming less
problematic. The Division recommends that it continue to be closely monitored and addressed as
needed.
A stream determination letter was issued on March 24, 2017 indicating that the upper portion of UT4
was determined to be intermittent, therefore, UT 4is subject to the Randleman Buffer protection rule
and is also viable for buffer restoration mitigation credit.
