Zan and I spoke with Rich Wooten and Bart Cattanach (NC Geological Survey) this morning regarding the Cedar Cliff Spoil Evaluation. They both read the reports and said that the Geologist is one of the experts on acid rock and did a thorough evaluation. Their one comment would be to monitor any runoff from the exposed rock face wall since this will be exposed to the atmosphere. Our comments would be similar to Andrea's comments. pH monitoring in the lake, spillway, and downstream in the East Fork Tuck as well as a contingency plan if the pH levels become a problem.
