Bass Subject: [External] Sugar Mountain PCN Follow Up CAUTION:nd all suspicious Hi, Folks, A bit of change in the construction plans: the engineering team was able to reduce the permanent stream crossings from 5 to 3, and replace all planned double-barrel culverts with single -barrel culverts. Attached are construction plans that show locations of culverts, crane pads, and erosion control fencing, as well as the hydroCAD and culvert design plans. I updated the PCN Form to reflect the new stream impact calculations and included a revised waters table with the same. Please also note that vegetation clearing within stream buffers (25' on each side of every water) will be done by hand to avoid soil compaction by heavy machinery. Amanda, you asked for acreage of forested area within iso feet of impacted streams that will be changed to early successional community. That number is approximately 1.3 acres. Please note that that acreage includes a 25' buffer on each side of S3 which will, as much as possible, be left as a rhododendron -heavy shrub community. Note in the table that the plan is to cut tall trees and leave vegetation 15' and under outside of the access road corridor for the trout buffer. That area comes to approximately o.o6 acre. Please let us know as soon as possible if you have further questions or concerns, or if you have trouble opening this file!
