General Project Narrative: Replacement of Bridge No. 970016 on SR 1632 (Pelt Rd.) over Ivy Swamp in Wilson County in Stantonsburg, NC. The proposed 70' long by 33" wide single-span bridge would

Bridge No. 970016 is within the Neuse River Drainage Basin and shall adhere to the Neuse Buffer Rules. The proposed bridge will have no direct discharge into Ivy Swamp.
Stormwater runoff from the west approach of the proposed bridge is to flow to two traffic bearing grated inlets on both sides of the roadway where it will be diffused with a riprap
pad at the proposed pipe outlet. All proposed runoff is discharged as far away from the stream and at the lowest velocities as practicable. The proposed deck runoff will outlet
outside of buffers, and grass swales will treat proposed ditches where applicable.
