The basin is 5500 sq ft X 8 ft deep = 44000 The pond is 34,000 sq ft and at least 5 ft to be dredged(?) = 170,000 That means they need 3.8 ponds (the size above) to hold all the material removed. So there won’t be really any room to let the material set. Have they had an “engineer” look at this or done any type of calculations. 1 James what would be a typicall basin for this much dredge material???? The spoil will be left in place permanently, and will be deposited so that there is always room to allow for water to be stored and settle out with the flocculent. I think I mention in the permit that they allow water to return (via gravity, or pump if needed) every morning to the pond before resuming dredging. Their timeframe is up to 4 weeks, but they will adjust if needed for unforeseen circumstances. Hey Alan, I sent a paper copy in to central (didn't realize you guys are going electronic), it should make it your way eventually. I'll take a look at my notes later today and see if I can get you some answers - I can't remember if I labeled that info or not. Off the top of my head the spoil will be left in that location, and the pond currently sits at ~5ft depth and was originally about 10ft deep original capacity. This can be done on line. I think I sent out an email to Tamp???? Looks fine to me. 3 What happens to the spoil as the basin fills? Where is it taken too? How much spoil do they plan to remove from pond. The basin is 5500 sq ft or 44,000 cu ft. I might have missed it in the app. I will go back and look From: Meagan Jolly \[mailto:k.meaganjolly@gmail.com\] Sent: Wednesday, February 14, 2018 2:48 PM To: AshevilleNCREG <ashevilleNCREG@usace.army.mil>; Johnson, Alan <alan.johnson@ncdenr.gov> Subject: \[External\] Brushy Mountain Golf Club Pond Project, Nationwide Permit 16 and WQC 4137 CAUTION: External email.
