Dear Ms. Karoly:
Nil
The City of Raleigh is pleased to submit the Certificate of Completion for the project titled Fred Fletcher
Park Extended Detention Wetland.
This nearly 0.6 acre constructed wetland serves as a restored wetland in Raleigh's Fred Fletcher Park was
completed in winter 2008 and now treats stormwater runoff draining from the approximate 60-acre
watershed.
This project was conceived by the City of Raleigh to address non-point source pollution in the Pigeon
House Branch watershed, which is subject to a recent Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) allocation and
to the Neuse River Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy. As this project is part of a
watershed-wide initiative that has been undertaken by the City to improve water quality in Pigeon House
Branch, we are pleased to have your support for these efforts.
