RE: Transmittal of Reports of Post-Storm Inspections of Old Impoundment
Reaches at Carbonton and Lowell
John, as promised, here are the reports prepared by Ecoscience for the (formerly)
impounded reaches of the Deep River and Little River. These transit events were
scheduled immediately following storms that generated flow rates equal to or in excess of
threshold values established for each river (details explained in documents). The
enclosed reports captured the conditions observed in the immediate basin as defined by
the old impoundment limits following each threshold flow regime from immediately after
dam removal to January 2007. Since the reports were consistently confirming stability, I
arbitrarily directed Ecoscience to stand down until further notice, which means that 1-2
events were not monitored in 2007.
Please review these reports and holler back if you have any questions or comments.
Thanks for your time.
Sincerely,
M. Randall urner
