Heath,
On the Taylorsville Road project in Lenoir we had silt that left the project site and
was deposited in the creek. I believe this occurred due to an 8 inch waterline tap
that was completed on Friday 2-23-2018. It was found this morning that the tap
had leaked over the weekend.
I have directed them to remove the deposited sediment from the creek and
contain it. They want to remove the sediment tomorrow as they begin
construction of the waterline crossing the creek in this same area. They have to
build a diversion around the deposit to complete the waterline installation.
