Comment: I met with Aaron Johnson DOT inspector on site to review a stream relocation and associated culvert
installation. DOT installed qrass sod on stream banks on top of core fiber mattinq to quicklv stabilize the
area and had turned stream into the constructed channel. The sod appeared to be holdinq but will need to
be monitored and repaired if sections fail. The culvert outlet to the mainstem had eroded the channel
bottom and will need to be stablized with riprap. Recent floodinq had deposited sand alonq rip rapped
outlet banks. The sand can remain as it will help with reveqetation. The mainstem culvert had not been
constructed to date. More utilitv work was needed. Follow-up will be needed in a few weeks.
