USACE Construction of this project is authorized under the following USACE Section 404 Nationwide Permit (NWP): NWP 3 (Maintenance) The proposed activities meet the conditions (see attached) of the Department of the Army Section 404 non-reporting Nationwide Permit (NWP) 3. The proposed impacts do not exceed the 1/10 acre of loss of Waters of the United States. Additionally this project does not involve impacts to a special aquatic site. Construction must comply with all pertinent conditions. NCDEQ-DWR Construction of this project is authorized under the following NCDEQ-DWR Section 401 Water Quality Certificate (WQC): WQC No. 4132 (Maintenance) Construction must comply with all pertinent conditions (see attached). BUFFERS Access for construction involving dewatering and the pipe installation will impact less than 40LF of riparian buffers within the Neuse River Basin, so this maintenance activity is EXEMPT. Proposed sn-ucture: Replace with an alumii�um pipe (l lft 1 in x 7ft witl� headwalls) that is lOft longer. Rip rap will be installed underlined with geotextile for long term stability sun•ounding the headwall tie-ins. Note tl�at existin� bedrock will prevent 20% burial, however as �nuch btuial as �ossible will be accomplished through excavation as blasting rocic froin the streainbed to achieve l�urial is not proposed.
