applicable codes. This limited review, and authorization for construction Is not to
be considered to represent total compliance with all legal requirements for
development and construction. The property owner, design consultants, and
contractors are each responsible for compliance with all applicable CRY, State and
Federal laws. This specific authorization below is not a permit, nor shall it be
construed to permit any violation of City, State or Federal Law. All Construction
must be in accordance with all Local, State, and Federal Rules and Regulations.

GENERAL NOTES:
1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE A COMPLETE SET OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AS WELL AS ALL
PERMIT APPROVALS AND EASEMENTS ON THE JOB SITE AT ALL TIMES
2. ALL EXISTING UTILITIES HAVE BEEN LOCATED FROM THE INFORMATION AVAILABLE. IT IS THE
CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ACCURATELY LOCATE BOTH HORIZONTALLY AND VERTICALLY
ALL EXISTING UTILITIES PRIOR TO START OF CONSTRUCTION AND COORDINATE WITH ENGINEER TO
MAKE ANY NEEDED ADJUSTMENTS. ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ANY DAMAGE TO EXISTING
UTILITIES RESULTING FROM THE CONTRACTORS FAILURE TO ADEQUATELY PROTECT THE EXISTING
UTILITIES DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE PAID BY THE CONTRACTOR.
3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH, INSTALL, AND MAINTAIN ALL NECESSARY EROSION CONTROL
MEASURES WHETHER OR NOT SHOWN ON THE PLANS TO PROTECT ADJACENT CREEKS, RIVERS,
LAKES, ROADWAYS, ETC. FROM SILTATION AND EROSION. ADDITIONAL EROSION CONTROL
MEASURES MAY BE REQUIRED IF THE PROPOSED MEASURES CANNOT FUNCTION AS INTENDED.
4. PROVIDE PROPER SUPPORT OF EXISTING/PROPOSED WATER AND SEWER LINES DURING
CONSTRUCTION.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUPPORT ALL UTILITY POLES AS NECESSARY. THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL COORDINATE UTILITY POLE SUPPORT WITH THE APPROPRIATE UTILITY COMPANIES.
6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RESTORE ALL DISTURBED AREAS TO THE EXISTING GRADE UNLESS
OTHERWISE NOTED ON THE DRAWINGS.
7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN ACCESS TO ALL PROPERTIES ADJACENT TO THE PROJECT AT
ALL TIMES.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY STORM DRAINAGE PENETRATIONS OF THE PROPOSED BOX
CULVERTS PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION AND SUBMITTAL OF BOX CULVERT SHOP
DRAWINGS. _
9. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SECURITY OF ALL MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT
STORED ON SITE IN STAGING AREAS OR WITHIN CONSTRUCTION LIMITS.
10. UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, ALL CONSTRUCTION TO BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH CITY OF
RALEIGH AND/OR NCDOT STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
11. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL EXERCISE CAUTION NOT TO DAMAGE EXISTING IN -GROUND IRRIGATION
SYSTEMS. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO REPAIR OR REPLACE ANY PARTS
OF THE IRRIGATION SYSTEMS DAMAGED BY CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES RELATED TO THIS
PROJECT.
12. WATER AND SEWER SNB PERMITS (4 TOTAL) ARE REQUIRED FOR DISCONNECTING AND
RECONNECTING TO CORPUD WATER AND SEWER MAINS.

4. TEMPORARILY STABILIZE THE TRENCH AT THE END OF EACH DAY AND
PRIOR TO ANY RAIN EVENT.
5. IF SANITARY SEWER AND/OR WATER LINE IS REPLACED BEFORE CULVERT,
INSTALL INLET PROTECTION AROUND EXISTING CURB INLETS. IF SANITARY
SEWER AND/OR WATER LINE IS REPLACED AFTER CULVERT, INSTALL INLET
PROTECTION AROUND NEW CURB INLETS.
6. INSTALL AND MAINTAIN TEMPORARY STABILIZATION PER SHEET 11.
7. INSTALL BACKFILL AND ADEQUATELY STABILIZE BANKS.
8. REMOVE PUMP AROUND AND IMPERVIOUS DAMS.
9. SEED AND MULCH ALL DISTURBED AREAS.

LIMIT CLEARING AND LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITY TO ONLY THE AREA

4. CALL THR RAPID RESPONSE NUMBER (919) 857-4412 TO SCHEDULE A
STORMWATER SITE INSPECTION.
5. UPON APPROVAL OF THE STORMWATER SITE INSPECTION, COMMENCE

PUMPING CALCULATIONS (NPSH IS REQUIRED CALCULATION).
4. BYPASS OPERATION SHALL BE CONDUCTED WITHIN EXISTING AND PROPOSED EASEMENTS, ROAD RIGHT—OF—WAY
AND LIMITS OF DISTURBANCE.
5. COMPLETE BYPASS PUMPING OPERATION INCLUDING ALL EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, PERSONNEL, AND ALL
APPURTENANCES NEEDED TO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE OPERATION SHALL BE PAID AS A LUMP SUM PER
THE SANITARY SEWER BYPASS PUMPING PAY ITEM.
