THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL LOCAL CODES, OBTAIN ALL APPLICABLE PERMITS, AND PAY ALL REQUIRED FEES PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK. 9. ANY WORK PERFORMED IN THE LOCAL OR STATE RIGHT OF WAYS SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPLICABLE LOCAL OR STATE REQUIREMENTS. LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES SHALL NOT COMMENCE UNTIL APPROVAL TO DO SO HAS BEEN RECEIVED BY GOVERNING AUTHORITIES. 2. NO LAND CLEARING OR GRADING SHALL BEGIN UNTIL ALL PERIMETER EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED. 3. ALL EXPOSED AREAS SHALL BE SEEDED WITHIN 14 DAYS OF FINAL GRADING. SEE NPDES SEEDING CHARTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. 4. SHOULD CONSTRUCTION STOP FOR LONGER THAN 14 DAYS, THE SITE SHALL BE TEMPORARILY SEEDED. 5. SLOPES STEEPER THAN 3:1 SHALL BE SEEDED AND STABILIZED WITHIN 7 DAYS 6. SEDIMENT AND EROSION CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE INSPECTED AT LEAST ONCE EVERY SEVEN (7) DAYS AND WITHIN 24 HOURS OF A RAINFALL EXCEEDING 0.5 INCHES DURING A 24-HOUR PERIOD OR MORE FREQUENTLY IF REQUIRED BY GOVERNING NPDES GENERAL PERMIT. ALL MAINTENANCE REQUIRED BY INSPECTION SHALL COMMENCE WITHIN 24 HOURS AND BE COMPLETED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF REPORT. 7. PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK ON THE PROJECT, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN FROM THE OWNER A COPY OF THE EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL APPROVAL FROM NCDEQ. THE APPROVAL NOTICE MUST BE POSTED AT THE JOB SITE. 2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN SELF INSPECTION REPORTS AS REQUIRED BY THE NCDEQ AND THE NPDES CONSTRUCTION STORMWATER PERMIT. SELF INSPECTIONS ARE TO BE CONDUCTED AFTER EACH PHASE OF WORK FOR THE RECORD OF THE INSTALLATION AND THE MAINTENANCE OF THE EROSION CONTROL MEASURES. SELF INSPECTION FORMS CAN BE OBTAINED AT HTTP://DEQ.NC.GOV/ABOUT/DIVISIONS/ENERGY-MINERAL-LAND-RESOURCES/EROSION-SEDIMENT-CONTROL/FORMS. 3. FLAG WORK LIMITS BEFORE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY BEGINS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT PERFORM ANY CLEARING BEYOND THE LIMITS SHOWN ON THE PLANS. 4. INSTALL TEMPORARY SILT FENCE AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS, CLEARING ONLY WHAT IS NECESSARY TO INSTALL THE SILT FENCE. DO NOT INSTALL SILT FENCE ACROSS CHANNELS OR AREAS OF CONCENTRATED FLOWS. 5. BEGIN INSTALLATION OF TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE. 6.
