This letter is a notification that NCDOT has initiated a study for two projects in Caldwell
County. We are currently collecting preliminary data along the project study areas for
the following projects:
1. STIP U-6034: Roadway Improvements to US 321 Alternate from SR 1106 (Duke Street)
to SR 1109 (Pinewood Road)
2. STIP U-6036: Roadway Improvements to SR 1109 (Pinewood Road) from US 321 to SR
1931 (Bert Huffman Road)
If you are aware of resources along the project that may need special consideration,
that information would be useful in identifying potential community and environmental
impacts. Please review the attached project maps and provide any comments you may
have. Please let me know if you have any questions.
