Regan, Secretary Release: IMMEDIATE Contact: Bridget Munger Date: July 14, 2017 Phone: 919-207-7786 State to host public hearings on Atlantic Coast Pipeline project RALEIGH — Officials with the N.C. Division of Water Resources will host two public hearings to obtain community feedback on Atlantic Coast Pipeline, LLC's application for a state water quality certification and buffer authorization as required by the federal Clean Water Act and state riparian buffer rules. Atlantic Coast Pipeline, LLC is proposing to construct one compressor station and install about 186 miles of 36 -inch transmission pipeline and supporting infrastructure in Northampton, Halifax, Nash, Wilson, Johnston, Sampson, Cumberland and Robeson counties. The first public hearing is scheduled for July 18 in Cumberland Hall Auditorium at Fayetteville Technical Community College, 2201 Hull Rd., Fayetteville. The second hearing is planned for July 20 in Brown Auditorium at Nash Community College, 522 N. Old Carriage Rd., Rocky Mount. Speaker registration and sign -in for both public hearings will start at 5 p.m. The hearings will start at 6 p.m. The project application and supporting documents can be found online at: http://edocs.deq.nc.gov/WaterResources/O/fol/261798/Rowl.aspx. The application and supporting documents may also be reviewed at the Division of Water Resources Central Office located in the Archdale Building, 512 N. Salisbury St., Raleigh, N.C., 27604. The public is invited to comment on the application by speaking at one of the hearings, submitting written comments at one of the hearings or by mailing comments to the division.
