Dear Ms. Stone:
We have reviewed the above-named report pertaining to archaeological investigations conducted by
Archaeological Consultants of the Carolinas, Inc. at the proposed Wyndwater-Phase 6 development near
Hampstead in Pender County. During the survey, no archaeological material was discovered. Archaeological
Consultants of the Carolinas has recommended that no further archaeological work is warranted. We concur
with that recommendation and consider the property cleared in terms of archaeology. Thank you for your
cooperation in this matter.

Advisory Council on Historic Preservation's Regulations for Compliance with Section 106 codified at 36 CFR

Thank you for your cooperation and consideration. If you have questions concerning the above comment,
contact Renee Gledhill -Earley, environmental review coordinator, at 919-807-6579 or
