Subject. Ammonia Nitrogen source Compliance
Cherryville WWTP
NPDES Permit No NC0044440
Gaston County, NC
This letter is in response to Section A. (5) of our new permit
Part 1 states that the permittee shall perform source identification of ammonia nitrogen in the
effluent within six months from the effective day of the permit
The City of Cherryville does not have any "SIU" significant industrial users in our system and
haven't had any since we lost Travis Knits years ago Therefore the Ammonia nitrogen source
would be coming from domestic wastewater from homes and small business in our collection
system
I hope that you find this satisfactory, please contact me at the number below if you have any
questions
Sincerely,
Vv
