Enclosed is the Annual Summary Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) for the Fort
Bragg Lamont West Borrow Pit.
Technical Bulletin for N.C. General Permit NCG020000 dated 3/15/2012 states
"Turbidity limits on effluent discharges have been removed -however turbidity standards
still apply in the receiving waters." Effluent discharge at Lamont West Borrow Pit does
not discharge to receiving waters. The discharge infiltrates into the soil profile.
Alternatively, monitoring turbidity upstream and downstream of the stormwater
discharge outfall (SDO) is not an option as there are no receiving waters upstream of
the SDO and the nearest receiving waters downstream is 0.66 of a mile from the SDO.
