aforementioned project and/or any permits the Division of Water Quality may require.
The Division of Water Quality is unable to provide random comments on any project unless you are
specifically seeking a 401 Water Quality Certification. A complete application package and applicable
fee would need to be submitted for review and approval. Please visit the website to obtain all the
necessary information about the 401 Water Quality Program, http://h2o.enr.state.nc.us/ncwetlands/
Should you be seeking to modify the 401 as it was issued for Blythe Landing May 20, 2008 then you
must submit a new application (5 sets) along with the appropriate fee. If you have any questions, please

Duke Lake Services has requested that we inform you of the following concerning the above project:
• The existing seven slip dock will be reconfigured to accommodate eighteen watercrafts as
requested.
• There are three existing launch assist docks which serve the six existing launch ramps. These
docks and ramps will remain.
• An environmental assessment is being prepared to access the impact of this project as required by
the Duke Shoreline Management Plan (SMP) for Lake Norman.
• Upon completion of the project, per the SMP, there will be a total of 21 watercraft
accommodations at this facility.
Please submit any comments that you may have to our office within 30 days of receipt of this letter.
