Karen,
Today, ACP received approval from FERC to commence with upland tree felling. We understand that
our Raleigh Erosion and Sediment Control Permit is needed prior to cutting trees in this area so we
will not be felling trees in NC until we secure that approval. However, in WV and VA this activity would
not include any ground disturbing activities, as trees will be felled by hand without the root mat being
disturbed or the timber removed from the project footprint. This activity will exclude areas delineated
as wetlands or waterbodies, as well as implementation of a 50' buffer around these resources to
ensure protection during felling. Atlantic anticipates initiating upland tree felling, as approved and in
in accordance with the FERC approval, as early as Saturday (1/20/18). We will provide notice to you
again when this activity is expected to begin in NC.
