Dear Mr. Davidson:
Re: Pigeon River North
Sewer Line Rehabilitation
Town of Clyde
Haywood County
The Town of Clyde is planning the rehabilitation and replacement of a section of sewer line
which has been a maintenance issue for some time. The original sewer line is 8" Vitrified Clay.
Please find enclosed one original and one copy of the following for this project:
• Executed Fast Track application form
• Check in the amount of $480 for the application fee
• An 8.5 by 11 -inch portion of a USGS map showing the project area
• A street/location map of the project area
Survey information and video inspection was completed on the entire section. There is a
portion of the sewer line which is directly adjacent to the Pigeon River and approximately 15 -feet
deep, making replacement of this portion by conventional construction difficult. In addition, the
section that is further off the river does not meet minimum requirements for 8 -inch sewer line.
We have therefore designed a project that combines cured -in -place -pipe and manhole
rehabilitation for the portion of the project adjacent to river with conventional replacement once
we have sufficient work space. However, due to the grade issues, the plans indicate the use of 10 -
inch sewer line rather than 8 -inch pipe in order to connect between the two existing elevations. I
have had a phone conversation with Tim Heim to discuss these issues prior to submittal of this
application.

additional information is required.
