Subject: Sampson 16 Permit Drawings
Brad & Joanne, attached are the permit drawings for the replacement of Bridge 16 on
SR 1145 (Boney Mill Road) over Buckhorn Creek in Sampson County. This is one of the
bridges that we delineated and has the old mill house upstream. There are no wetlands
in the project area and the project impacts include 70 lf of bank stabilization and 24 lf of
temporary stream impacts for the removal of the old timber abutments. The Division is
proposing to complete this work under Nationwide 3 & 13 and corresponding WQC
4132 & 4134. Since the impacts are below the thresholds, we are anticipating that
written approval is not required.
Please review the attached information and let me know if you concur. If you need any
additional information please let me know.

General Project Narrative: SF-810016 is a bridge replacement project that involves removing Sampson County bridge #16, on SR 1145 (Boney Mill Rd.) over Buckhorn Creek, and replacing with a
