The Division of Energy, Mineral, and Land Resources (DELMR), received a complete Stormwater Management Permit
Application for the subject project on April 17, 2017. Staff review of the plans and specifications has determined that the
project, as proposed, will comply with the Stormwater Regulations set forth in Title 15A NCAC 2H.1000 rules. We are
forwarding Permit No. SW6170401, dated May 19, 2017, for the construction, operation and maintenance of the subject
project and the stormwater system. This permit shall be effective from the date of issuance and shall be subject to the
conditions and limitations as specified therein, and does not supersede any other agency permit that may be required.

The original signed permit package and approved plans are being mailed to Hunter Smith at:

Have you noted any issues with the permit package? When you say you should have it to me
beginning of next week, do you mean the approval or comments?

The basins are oversized because infiltration is the only means of draining the site. We have routed
these basins up to the 100 year storm.

I am about done with my review. I did have a question why you oversized the infiltration basins since the
dewatering time is so quick. Is it a local requirement?

Jeffery Nobles,

I just started the process of reviewing the plans and calculations submitted to us. We have up to 90 days to
review/issue the permit, but I’ll try to review it this week. Please be aware that even if you have an approved
erosion control permit, starting construction prior to having an approved stormwater permit is at your own risk.

I’ll let you know if I find any items for comment.
