Mark Bentley (ORC) and Daniel Dutton (Maintenance Staff) assisted with the inspection and records review. The facility appeared well maintained and operated at the time of the inspection, and in compliance with Permit NC0037737. The following additional observations were made at the time of the inspection: • The ORC should locate the discharge pipe location using a dye trace and mark the location for future reference Page# Permit: NCO037737 Inspection Date: 11/09/2017 Owner - Facility: Nantahala Village WWTP Inspection Type: Compliance Evaluation Operations & Maintenance Is the plant generally clean with acceptable housekeeping? Does the facility analyze process control parameters, for ex: MLSS, MCRT, Settleable Solids, pH, DO, Sludge Judge, and other that are applicable? Comment: The facility appeared well organized and maintained at the time of the inspection. Permit (If the present permit expires in 6 months or less). Has the permittee submitted a new application? Is the facility as described in the permit? # Are there any special conditions for the permit? Is access to the plant site restricted to the general public? REGAN Secretary LINDA CULPEPPER Interim Director On November 9, 2017, 1 conducted a Compliance Evaluation Inspection of the Nantahala Village WWTP. Based on records reviewed, on-site review of system components and interviews with staff, the facility was determined to be in compliance with permit NC0037737. The following item was noted during the inspection: • The ORC should locate the discharge pipe location using a dye trace and mark the location for future reference. The assistance of Mr. Mark Bentley (ORC) and Mr. Daniel Dutton during the inspection was greatly appreciated.
