Tim Heim of the Asheville Regional Office performed a Compliance Evaluation Inspection on November
16, 2017. Jerry Younce (ORC) and Mark Dillinger (Shop Foreman) assisted with the inspection and
facility review. The facility appeared well maintained and operated, and in compliance with Permit
NC0041181.
The following additional observations were made at the time of the inspection:
The ORC noted that septic tank pumping has recently increased in frequency. This should have a
positive effect on system performance.

The North Carolina Division of Water Resources conducted an inspection of the Happy Valley
Elementary School on 11/16/2017. This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is
operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in NPDES WW Permit No.
NC0041181. The findings and comments noted during this inspection are provided in the
enclosed copy of the inspection report entitled "Compliance Inspection Report".
There were no significant issues or findings noted during the inspection and therefore, a
response to this inspection report is not required.
