(ANC) has reviewed the draft NPDES Permit NC0063860 modification received by our office December 19, 2017, and has summarized our comments below. Section A.(1.) Effluent Limitations and Monitoring Requirements Footnote 8 — We would like a period of forty-eight months from the effective date of the revised permit to achieve compliance with the Total Copper and Total Chloride limits specified within this section. We believe that the data collection efforts, studies, evaluations, design, permitting, and modifications could require up to forty-eight months to complete. Section A.(2.) Schedule of Compliance (Outfall 001) 5. We would like a period of four years to achieve compliance with Total Copper and Total Chloride limits specified in Section A.(1.) and A.(3.). Note that the reference to A.(5.) in the draft permit appears to be incorrect and should read A.(3.). Section A.(3.)
