HomeMy WebLinkAbout20180839 Ver 1_Notes from the 2 merger meetings_20160818Carpenter,Kristi From: Chapman, Amy Sent: Thursday, August 18, 2016 9:51 AM To: Ward, Garcy Subject: Notes from the 2 merger meetings R-5014 4B meeting Sheet 6: Swales will treat SW prior to discharge. Swales are 3:1 and will be built per BMP manual. Sheet 7: Drainage area is tidally influenced so area is indeterminate. Very flat area. Swales will meet the swale criteria. Sheet 8: 404 wetland below the eng pipe on the plan sheet, will be a total take. Will be denoted on the impact sheet as a taking. It's up to the Corps and DWQfor mitigation ratios. Sheet 9: Cathy B reminded DOT there are 2 mitigation sites for this project. One was not labeled on this plan sheet as protected. Sheet 10: May require rip-rap on both sides of road. They will determine. Sheet 12: 3:1 side slopes for the swales. Colington Creek mitigation site has a catch basin outlet they cannot find. Will possibly excavate site to find the outlet. Still need discussions on impacts to it. Sheet 13: SAV impacts. Will be revised to show rip-rap at toe of slope to keep impacts low in SAVs. Impacts not being pushed into CAMA wetlands. There will possibly be another meeting prior to 4C Corps stated there was a preservation site (not DOT's) at the go cart property. DOT can't use and needs to be avoided and labeled on plan sheets. Fisheries moratorium. April 1-Sept 30t" in SAVs for fish nursery. No detours planned. Will be a staged construction. November 2018 LET date. R-53114C Sheet 4: Mechanized clearing shown on Sheet 8 and not 4. Sheet 4 will be updated to depict this. Swales will meet swale 3:1 criteria. Sheet 5 Mech clearing at outlet for "ditch" installation. Sheet 7: Will look at current veg in area and may only have hand clearing since this area has been cleared in the past. Mitigation for the project could be a big issue. Probably will be a phased permit. By the end of the year, there should be a PCN submittal. Prior to the submittal, DOT has to contact the Corps to ensure there is mitigation for it.
