Please consider our expediency in this response and action as an indication of our commitment to water quality. 1. I have attached photos of the completed matting and straw. The entire reach is now stabilized. Please note that no additional new work occurred until this was completed on 12/14/17. 2. It is strictly our policy to mat and stabilize work at the end of each day, as evidenced by our past record and the supply of materials that have been onsite since construction. This oversight was caused by a lack of available labor. The crews we typically use were unavailable and cutting Christmas trees during this time period. A large snowfall also delayed our start of work. Once they were available we began to install the matting and stabilization immediately. During the time period of work there was little to no measurable rainfall. 3. Going forward our plan remains the same as what is permitted, we will only disturb what can be stabilized in the same day. We have approximately 8 more structures to install and some minor fine grading. I have lined up our matting crew and they will be onsite each day of the remaining work. We will install structures in the morning and then stop at lunch break to install matting and erosion control to stabilize at the end of each work day. At the end of each work day BREC staff will inspect the site prior to the crew leaving to insure that the matting has occurred.
